TUTU VISITS DISNEYLAND

This time of year almost every other year we take a trip to Disneyland. My mom, sister-in-law (she could not come this trip), Shannon and her three boys and this time I got to take Bostyn. I literally prayed several times throughout the day for weeks prior to leaving that Bostyn would do good there. I think I definitely psyched myself out because she did SO good! A couple bus rides here and there she had her moments but not once in the Happiest Place On Earth or the plane ride! We had all our days planned out ahead of time and went to Sea World, Universal Studios, and park hopping back and forth between Disneyland and California Adventure. Every morning we planned to wake up at 6:30 cause we had places to be. And if you know my mom when it comes to Disneyland, you don't mess around! In 2007 we gave my mom her own little piece of Disneyland, her very own stone there and we finally got to see it......

We got there on Sunday which is part of the weekend for Disneyland and it was a little crowded for what we are use to. We did a couple rides then decided to let the kids go back to the hotel and swim cause we knew that pretty much they would have no other opportunity to swim since we would be going allllll day loooooooong......We always stay at the California Grand which is right in the middle of Downtown Disney. Walking distance to Disneyland and it is so nice there.

DAY UNO: (I am counting the days in Spanish cause TuTu counts in Spanish now out of nowhere.....ummm thanks to Dora I guess)...

DAY DOS: We went to Sea World and saw Shamu of course but my favorite part of it all was watching the Sea Lion Halloween show. It was so funny I actually laughed all through it. Bostyn could have started me off though because while we were waiting for the show to start she got in one of her moods and was running around hugging all of us and some others in the audience, so embarrassing but it was hilarious!

DAY TRES: We went to Disneyland and all the crowd was gone and it was perfect. Bostyn loved the Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Matterhorn and the characters.

DAY CUATRO: We went to Universal Studios which is so neat around Halloween time because they have everything decorated kinda creepy and gruesome. The streets had zombies and skeletons all over it was neat. I know you might be thinking doesn't sound so neat for kids but these kids are well trained.....thanks to Grandma Taralyne, Halloween time is her thing! She loves it. Bostyn was pumped to see Donkey and of course DORA!! She will know who Chucky is later I guess, but she kept touching his "owies" on his face.

DAY CINCO: We headed back to Disneyland for more. The kids got there faces painted and Bostyn sat so still for the lady cause she loves to wear make-up on her face these days. Especially GREEN on her eyes that Grandma Taralyne does for her at home. Later that night the park closed at 5:00 to the public unless you had the special Trick-Or-Treat tickets. We went back to the room and got ready for Trick-Or-Treating starting at 6:30-10:30. There were bands and every character you could think of out dancing and candy stations you would stop at for treats. Bostyn caught on quick to the concept of "Trick-Or-Treating."

TuTu was Mulan......."soooo pretty" she would say.

DAY SEIS: Was a sad day, we had to go home. But we hit up Disneyland again and ended it with California Adventure. The funniest thing of the trip for me happened that day to Bostyn. She was watching for the boys to come around on Grizzly Bear Rapids and was standing in the SOAK ZONE. I just let her be cause I thought it would be funny (I had a change of clothes in the stroller) well sure enough the next raft that came by.......

my sister got the shots at perfect timing. From start of the soak to end. Her face when she turned around was the best!!!

All in all the trip was great! I can't wait to take her back in two years when she will be taller for more rides. Thank you to my mom for EVERYTHING!!!! Some people just don't get the hype of Disneyland but you have not been yet until you go with my mom! and thanks to Shannon for taking such cute pictures, all 800 of them! and for being TuTu's lap rider cause of my food baby from all the churros! These are just a few of my favorite pictures of Bostyn throughout the trip.....and of course the "sooo pretty" Mulan picture.

....and no that is not a food baby. I have not mentioned it on my blog yet but in case you didn't know I am pregnant with a boy who will be here in February :)

THRILLER at Kingsbury Hall

My mom, sister and her three boys went up and saw Thriller. We saw it last year and loved it. After seeing these dancers it makes me wish I had some moves, they are AMAZING!

Heber Creeper at Halloween time

The Saturday night before we left for California my whole family minus Gabe (hunting of course) went and rode the Heber Creeper. It was super cheesy!! Fun I guess riding on the train but they could do a whole lot more I think to make it more fun. This is the only picture I have but I love it so I had to post.

Boating at Utah Lake

TuTu's 3 favorite things: BINK, BLANK, and her PAPA!

Bostyn, Gage, and Koda watching Colton knee board.

Bostyn loves her Shannon

Bostyn's Boys

One night after Clint got off work we decided to head out to the lake for a quick ride since summer is coming to an end so fast! Bostyn will finally wear her jacket without throwing a fit. It took a day of wearing it around the house to get use to it and now sometimes she just likes to put it on like a shirt.

Trying to keep up with the fish!

My dad and Gabe have been hitting up fishing at Deer Creek like 3 nights a week cause the fish are biting like crazy!! Then Gabe brings home all the fish and smokes them in his smoker.....mmmmmmm! It is quite the process, they have to marinate over night in this recipe he has and its lots of cleaning when its all done. If you can only imagine my house smells marvelous as well but eventually the fishy scent leaves and we have this stuff that is delicious!!! We just keep it in the fridge and snack on it like jerky and best of all Bostyn loves it. Oh and we have all sorts of friends too...hahaha!

This trip Gabes brother Jeramiah and his little girl Lexi came along. They all had a pretty good time and the fish kept them busy.

Fourth of July in Flaming Gorge

The whole family headed out to our place in Flaming Gorge for the 4th of July and like always had tons of fun. We always get there and wonder why we don't go out there more often. Its so pretty and peaceful out there. Its one of those places where the whole fam can just hop in the bed of a truck and cruise on down to the store without a stop light or car in sight. LOVE IT! Anyways, we attempted to take lunches and go out on a four wheeler ride but we ended up getting poured on. We were all laughing heading back to the trucks cause it was raining good and everyone was soaked. Well I stayed nice and dry riding in the Rhino with Bostyn so I guess I should say I was laughing watching all of them.

While my dad and Gabe took out the fishing boat- the kids, my mom, Shan and Clint went to find a spot on the shore so the kids could throw rocks in and what not. Well the brave ones, Koda and Bostyn ended up swimming.

We did a little fishing from the shore and took some good ol' family pictures.

and of course there were fire works on the fourth.
